Liberalism, a humanist thought believing in, freedom (notably (sometimes) capitalism and democracy), progressChange not attempting to recreate a "past" having the ability to do good, and equality, no longer being a viable model to base society around due to technology, leading to abandonment of it. Likely caused by liberalism not being designed for use with new technologies in a time where humans were relevant.
Increasing risks of freedom: Liberalism's (most common) answer to the question of technological use, is to allow it freely, as long as it does not harm. Increasingly, technology is becoming more dangerous, importantly in ways requiring compromise of freedom to prevent. examples
